TRAVEL |
Mission
trips are for anyone and everyone. Physical limitations are not
an obstacle, there is something for everyone. This is a great starter
trip for those who have never experienced a mission. With a supervisor's
help, everyone can do this trip. Room and board and good southern
cookin' are included. We will be staying at the Volunteer Home.
Married couples will have their own room and singles may have a
roommate.
After a hard day's
work, a delicious dinner is served and if you wish to venture out,
you can listen to a blue grass band or see Loretta Lynn's childhood
home. One night there will be a big picnic with another group home.
You may fly into
Lexington, KY or Huntington, WV and rent a car or you can drive
in and make a vacation of it. We will meet at a location (Salyersville
or Louisa - to be announced) near Paintsville, KY at 5pm on Sunday.
I can help you with any reservations. Please call for details.
Our mission will
be working on a new home or perhaps remodeling an older home or
helping with the elderly - again some type of work for everyone.
Love, laughter and Christian fellowship and service are the rewards
for this wonderful trip.
Call about our other
mission trips to Cuba, Guatemala City, Dominican Republic and Mexico
for 2008!
Payment Schedule:
$300 to reserve, 30 days prior to trip

DEVOTIONAL TRAVEL
THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI
April 19-26, 2008 Starting at $2108.00
The
Mississippi River is a chameleon, continually reinventing itself.
Between Memphis and New Orleans, it becomes the legendary Ol’Man
River of brawling keelboat men and intrepid river pilots. Fertile
cotton fields wrap their arms around white-columned mansions, sweet
wood-smoke hangs in the trees, and lightning bugs wink against the
river’s shimmering reflections. Except in the vicinity of bustling
cities, where the river is wild, remote and primeval - as if you are
traveling through a land untouched by time.

BRITISH
ISLES & NORTHERN EUROPE CRUISE
July 12-26, 2008 Starting at $2029.00
Jolly
old London, Paris - the “City of Lights,” Brussels, Edinburgh
and Dublin are just some of the highlights of our British Isles and
Northern Europe Cruise.Setting sail from Southampton, you’ll
stop in Le Havre, France where the entire city of Paris is one grand,
everfascinating attraction. While peaceful Normandy wears its turbulent
history on its sleeve, with touching monuments to the D-Day invasions.
In colorful Dublin, Ireland, stroll the cobblestone streets and shops
of the Temple Bar area. Tour St. Patrick’s Cathedral or journey
to Malahide Castle. See the oldest part of the city, settled by Vikings
over 1,000 years ago. Visit the Old Library in Trinity College, where
you can view an 8th century decorated manuscript of the Gospels. Experience
Northern Ireland’s Industrial Revolution firsthand when you
stop in Belfast. Check out the Grand Opera House and St. Anne’s
Cathedral. To the north, the extraordinary features of the mythical
Giant’s Causeway are also a must-see. You can get a true taste
of Scotland in lively Glasgow, which is surrounded by rugged mountains,
lochs and glens. Discover George Square with its Victorian City Chambers,
and nearby Glasgow Cathedral. Visit the famous Burrell Collection
to view priceless works of art. At Inverness/Loch Ness you might not
uncover Nessie, but you will find delightful forests, peaceful villages
and the pristine Ness Islands. Also visit the Aquadome, Floral Hall
and Inverness Castle, featured in Shakespeare’s Macbeth. In
Edinburgh, step back to medieval times with a visit to the ancient
streets of the Royal Mile and the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Visit imposing
Edinburgh Castle and enjoy a splendid view of the city from the battlements.
Or play a round at St. Andrews, the “roots” of golf. Upon
arrival in Belgium you can see the vibrant, modern city of Brussels
or medieval Bruges is a postcard of canals and narrow winding lanes.
Your last day at sea, before arriving back in London, will be a leisurely
one, as you reflect on the timeless images and colorful places of
scenic and historic interest you have experienced.

UPPER MISSISSIPPI
