APPALACHIAN COUNTRY IN THE BLUEGRASS STATE OF KENTUCKY
April 26 - May 1 and September 13-18, 2009 - $350.00
Mission trips are for anyone and everyone. Physical limitations are not an obstacle since there is something for everyone. This is a great starter trip for those who have never experienced a mission trip. Volunteers will work alongside plumbers, contractors, electricians, etc… so experience is not neccessary.
Room and board and good southern cookin' are included. We will be staying in a volunteer home with dorm style rooms. Breakfast and dinner is served at the home by our housemother and lunch is provided at the work site. You might want to venture out in the evening to hear a blue grass band or see Loretta Lynn’s childhood home. One night there will be a big picnic lunch.
You may fly into Lexington, KY or Huntington, W.Virginia and rent a car or drive in to the location near Paintsville, Kentucky. Chris Knowles can help with reservations. Our mission will be working on a new home or remodeling or repairing an older home or helping with the elderly. Love, laughter, Christian fellowship and service are the rewards for this wonderful trip.
